Description:

This workshop is a general overview of managing your forest land, including forest management methods and how elevation and soil affect the forest type. Basic information on forest insects and diseases, pasture management, prescribed burning, and growing non-timber forest products will be presented. Instructors will also teach landowners how they can protect their structures using Firewise landscaping, construction techniques and incentive programs that are available to help them achieve their goals.
