Non-native and Invasive (NNI) Forest Plants Workshops Continue
Registration is now open for the one-day workshops sponsored by the NC Division of Forest Resources, FEOP and a host of partnering organizations from non-profits, landowner organizations, and government agencies concerned with controlling the growing problem of invasive plants in North Carolina's forests. Three of the six workshops were held between August and October of 2011. Between 150 and 200 folks attended each workshop! The last three workshops are just like the first; packed with speakers, exhibitors, lunch, CFEs, and lots of good information on the identification and management of NNI plants. Thanks to a grant from the USDA Forest Service, there will be no charge to attend these workshops, however there is a $15 handling fee for CFEs and pesticide credits. Advance registration is required. For more information visit the web page:
