Forestry & Environmental
Outreach Program (FEOP) offers distance education and training events designed
to inform landowners and natural resources professionals on a wide array of topics. When grant funding provides financial support for these events, they can be offered at little or no charge. When subsidies are not available a small registration fee is charged. Each
teleconference will be accredited with SAF Continuing Forestry Education
contact hours and possibly other types of accreditation depending on the topic. Continuing education certificates are sent to participants after our office reviews the sign-in sheets from teleconference locations. When possible, certificates are emailed to participants as PDF attachments.
Forestry Issues Forum Teleconferences and Webinars
This Forestry Issues Forum is offered in teleconference format via the NC Research and Education Network (NC-REN)
a two-way, interactive medium. This format allows attendees
the opportunity to interact with the experts and as well
as other participants from across the state. These programs are generally 3 hours in length and give participants the advantage of a forum atmosphere at each location. Advanced registration and $35 fee are required.
Registration fee increases to $50 one week from the broadcast date (late fee). Please allow extra time for obtaining
necessary parking permit, locating visitor parking and the video teleconference site on the campus of
your choice. We will provide reasonable accommodation for persons
with special needs when requested in advance.
The NCSU-FEOP webinars are offered at $15 per session which can range for 45 minutes for 90 minutes in length. Participants must register and pay for their chosen webinar at least 24 hours in advance. An email confirmation is sent to the participant with has login instructions on how to view the webinar. In most cases the webinars are interactive by chat feature and will carry continuing education credits for participants who complete the short quiz at the end of the webinar. Certificates are provided via email within a few days of the webinar.
